Oporomis formosus
Length: 5-6"

The Kentucky Warbler breeds in the southeast U.S.
Winters are spent in Central America.
They are considered a common bird in their range.
Since I live on the west coast, I was quite excited to see them in
Texas.
They build their nests on the ground under a shrub or in a patch
of vegetation. They eat insects and their larva and small
spiders.
