Tyrannus forficatus Length: 14.5"
I was excited when I saw a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher in Galveston. It was quite far away, but the long tail was quite noticeable. The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is the state bird of Oklahoma. They mainly eat insects they catch in flight, but will also eat berries.
