<i>Sacramento Wildlife Refuge, CA</i> <img src="Icons/S_red.png"> <p> The Sacrament Wildlife Refuge is part of the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge complex. Listed as one of the <i>Fifty Places to Go Birding Before you Die</i>, the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge is a great place to visit during the Fall and winter months. Thousands of Snow Geese and Greater White-fronted Geese visit the refuge. At sunset, it is a fantastic sight to see the Snow Geese take off for the rice fields. You can also see many different kinds of ducks, Ring-necked Pheasants, a variety of sparrows, finches and raptors. I even once saw a coyote there. </p> <p> A six-mile auto tour is the best way to see the ducks and geese. You can only get out of your car at a couple of places but you can stop and view the wildlife along the way. <p> <iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=104256419760424276948.0004692ad68f9d6cd12f2&ll=39.440966,-122.167282&spn=0.185599,0.291824&z=11&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small>View <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=104256419760424276948.0004692ad68f9d6cd12f2&ll=39.440966,-122.167282&spn=0.185599,0.291824&z=11&source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">Birding in Northern California</a> in a larger map</small> </p>
