The Red-vented Bulbul is native to the Indian subcontinent but has
been introduced to other places including Fiji, Hawaii, the United
Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Argentina and New Zealand.
It is on the list of the world's 100 worst invasive alien species.

<p>
They feed on
fruits, vegetables, flower buds, and insects.
Hawaii considers them a pest because of damages to Oahu orchards
and because they aggressively chase native birds.
