<p>
The Semipalmated Plover is found throughout North America and along
the coasts of South America.
The Semipalmated Plover has a short bill and yellow-orange legs.
The semipalmated part of its name comes from the partial
webbing between its middle and outer toes.

They find marine worms, crustaceans, and small molluscs by holding
one foot forward and vibrating the substrate.
This causes the prey to move and be detected.
