The Spectacled Parrotlet inhabits forests in Panama, Colombia and Venezuela. The male is mostly green with blue on wings, tail, rump, shoulder and behind the eye. The female lacks the blue and plumage is various shades of green.

Diet includes seeds, berries, fruit, buds, etc.
