The White-lined Tanager is found from Costa Rica south to northern Argentina and on
Trinidad and Tobago.
They are sexually dimorphic.
The male is mostly black with white
underwing coverts and a small white patch on the upperwing.
Females and immatures are rufous colored.

Diet consists of fruit, nectar and insects (ants, beetles, etc.)
