According to one source, the American Kestrel is the most common falcon in North America and it is also the smallest falcon. It is also the only kestrel found in North America. The sexes are different. One of the differences is the male wing feathers are a blue grey while the females are rufous. Kestrels eat grasshoppers, dragonflies, lizards, mice, and voles. They also sometimes eat small birds.
