The Black Vulture is also called the American Black Vulture. It has a black head instead of the red head of the Turkey Vulture. It is also smaller. The Black Vulture is not as widespread as the Turkey Vulture in North America. It is mainly in the South and Southwest.

Like the Turkey Vulture, the Black Vulture feeds on carrion. They also eat eggs or kill newborn animals.
