The Blue Ground Dove is found from southeastern Mexico to northwestern Peru and northern Argentina and on Trinidad. The sexes are dimorphic with the males a combination of white, pale grey and blue-grey. The females are mostly various shades of brown from ruddy brown to grey-brown. It's IUCN status is "Least Concern".
