Toxostoma rufum Length: 11.5"

The Brown Thrasher is reddish-brown (or brown) with a white breast that is streaked. The Brown Thrasher is a mid-west and eastern U.S. bird. It's beaked is not as curved as the California Thrasher which is local to California.

Thrashers like densely thickets and brush, so I was quite happy to get a few shots of one. They are not great, but the bird was not patient.
