The Cattle Egret is a small white heron that prefers pastures. In Hawaii they were following a lawn mower eating the insects that were stirred up. I like the picture of the Cattle Egret eating a salamander on Kauai.

Both sexes are similar. During breeding season, Cattle Egrets' have orange on various part of their bodies and their legs are orange instead of black.
