Corvus corax Length: 24"

The Common Raven is a large, all black bird in the crow family. They are common in large parts of Northern America and Europe. One of the reasons it has been so successful is because it feeds on almost anything. They will eat carrion, insects, food waste, cereal grains, berries, fruit and small animals. Note, the picture below of a raven with a mole or other critter in its bill.
