The Greater White-fronted Geese have one of the largest ranges of any species of goose in the world. It is quite spectacular to see thousands of them at the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge as they stop there on their migratory journey.

Both sexes are similar and they feed on seeds, grain, grasses, sedges and berries.
