Tringa flavipes Length: 9-10"

The Lesser Yellowlegs is smaller than the Greater Yellowlegs. It's bill is just a little bit longer than its head while the Greater Yellows bill is much longer than its head. Lesser Yellowlegs are also found in larger flocks than the Greater Yellowlegs.

Lesser Yellowlegs mainly eat insects. During the non-breeding season they eat small fish and crustaceans.
