Little Blue Herons are a small heron and are uncommon in the Bay Area. I have only seen them while visiting the south. There was one reported in Fremont, CA for a couple of summers, but I was not lucky enough to spot it.

Little Blue Heron's eat fish, frogs, crustaceans, and small rodents and insects.
