Parkesia motacilla Length: 6"

The Louisiana Waterthrush is a warbler and is found along the edges of wooded streams and ponds. They are easily confused with the Northern Waterthrush. Other people in Galveston, assured me this was a Louisiana Waterthrush.

Louisiana Waterthrush bob their head and tails. They are mainly found on the eastern part of the U.S. They eat insects, molluscs and crustaceans that they find among leaf litter.
