The Red-legged Honeycreeper is in the Tanager family and it is found from southern Mexico south to Peru, Bolivia and central Brazil. They are sexually dimorphic with the female being an olive green and the male shades of blue and black. Their IUCN Conservation Status is 'Least Concern'
