Rock Wrens, besides liking rocky areas, are also found in non-rocky areas in the western part of the U.S. and Mexico where they like areas with crevices, passageways, etc. of diverse shapes and sizes. I was lucky to see one on some rocks on the S.F. Bay one day. They eat grasshoppers, crickets, ants, leaf-hoppers, bugs, beetles and other insects.
