I was only lucky once to see Varied Thrushes and that is when I first started bird watching. They are repeatedly reported to be at the Redwood Regional Park, but I am good at missing them. Varied Thrushes like dense coniferous forests. They forage on the ground for insects but will also eat seeds and berries.
