The Western Screech Owl is a small owl.
They nest in tree or cactus cavities that are have usually
been excavated by woodpeckers.

<p>
A friend who lives in Walnut Creek, has a bird box in their back year where
they have set up a video camera inside the box. 
They have gotten great videos of the owlets.
