Anahauc National Wildlife Refuge

The first time we visited Anahauc NWR was six months after Hurricane Ike.
At that time the Refuge was full of debris and not many birds.
A little over a year later, the place has come back.
We saw quite a few birds but missed seeing the King Rails that someone had
reported earlier in the day.
The auto tour is good because you come quite close to the water (and some alligators).
Anahauc is close to the town of Winnie and there is
a good Cajun restaurant there.
