MichiganI have been to Michigan twice. Both times I was too early for the fall migration. The second trip we went over 1200 miles around the main part of Michigan. It was quite beautiful, but I had trouble finding the birds I was looking for. I was too early for ducks and some of the places were closed due to hunting. Oh well! Maybe next time I will be more lucky.
The best place for birding was Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor. Both times I have been there, I have find new birds. of other birds. The best place to eat was "the cooks' house" in Traverse City. Great food.
