The Blue-naped Mousebird is found in the drier regions of East Africa. Both sexes are similar. They are mostly ash-brown and gray with a crest on their head and a turquoise-blue patch on their nape and hindneck. They also have a long tail ranging from 7.9-11 in. (20-28 cm). They also have to ability to rotate all four toes to face forward.
Diet is mostly fruit with some leaves, flowers and buds, and berries.
