The Groove-billed Ani is a member of the cuckoo family and is found in southern Texas, Mexico, Central America, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Diet includes insects, seeds and fruits. The Groove-billed Ani live in small groups of one to five breeding pairs and lay their eggs and care for the young communally.
