The Horned Grebe breeds in northern North America, Europe and Asia. They winter along the coasts of North America, Europe and Asia. Slightly larger than the Eared Grebe, the Horned Grebe can be frequently found in the Bay Area during the winter months. Horned Grebes eat mostly small fish.
