The Lesser-Texas Goldfinch is one of the two forms of the Lesser Goldfinch that are found mostly in the western part of the U.S. and Mexico. They are the smallest North American Goldfinch. The Texas variant has more black on its head and back. They feed mostly on tree buds and weed seeds. They are also common at bird feeders.
