Von der Decken's Hornbill was named after the German explorer Baron Karl Klaus von der Decken (1833-1865). These hornbills are found in East Africa from Ethiopia to Tanzania. Their diet includes insects, mice and other small invertebrates, fruit, berries, and seeds.
