The White-crowned Shrike is also known as the Northern White-crowned Shrike and the White-rumped Shrike. It is a shrike that is found in East Africa from southeastern Sudan and southern Ethiopia to Tanzania. They usually eat large insects taken from the ground or by feeding from the backs of large mammals. They will occasionally eat fruit that has fallen to the ground.
