The Chestnut-backed Chickadee is found in the Pacific Northwest and western Canada. They are quite widespread in the S.F. Bay Area, especially in the East Bay parks. When you hear little cheeps and lots of moving around, it is quite likely them. They mostly eat insects and larvae but wil eat some seeds, berries and fruit pulp.
