The Short-tailed Hawk range is Florida, Mexico, and South America. The Short-tailed Hawk has two color morphs. The black phase predominates in Florida and the light form is found elsewhere. They eat birds, lizards, lizards, small rodents, snakes and sometimes small raptors.
