The Chukar is an Old World bird from Asia and Europe that was released in North America in the 1930's. The Chukar has become established in the West, though it is not common. The best place to see them that I have found is at the Antelope Island Visitor Center near Salt Lake City, Utah. The best time to see them is early morning or evening. While I was there I saw approximately 30 Chukars early one morning.
