Joshua Tree National Park, CA.The Joshua Tree National Park, CA is a beautiful place to visit. The rock structures are fantastic.
I visited there in February, 2010 and had the best birding at the Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms. The highlights for me were the Cactus Wren, Gambel's Quail (a male came really close to me), and some Phainopepla. I also visited the Barker Dam and Cottonwood Spring. Both places did not have the bird varieties of the Visitor center but had good walks.
