Le Conte's Thrasher is found in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico where it prefers deserts with little vegetation.
Diet includes beetles, scorpions, spiders, grasshoppers, small lizards and snakes, eggs, seeds and berries. It is believed that they get their water from the food that they eat.
