Pacific Commons Linear Park

Pacific Commons Linear Park, Fremont, CA.

The Pacific Commons Linear Park is a small park located in Fremont. It is behind an office park and that seems to be the best place to park. I think it is a new park and while not very big, it is a great place for birds. In the few times that I have been there, I have seen quite a few birds including an American Bittern, Common Moorhens, Cinnamon Teals, Say's Phoebe, Egrets, Herons, many ducks and gulls, etc.

The park is well maintained (no bathrooms though). Not sure who manages this park. I did talk to the Fremont Park Service and it is not them. There is one odd thing about the park. They are large speakers that play various sounds such as a mountain lion, gun shots, etc. Not sure what the sounds are supposed to be scaring off. The birds didn't seem to mind.
