Sharp-shinned Hawks are throughout North America from Canada to Mexico and Central America. The female Sharp-shinned Hawk is almost twice the weight of the male. They also are very similar to Cooper's Hawk but they are slightly smaller. Their diet mostly consists of songbirds and will also eat small rodents and some insects.
