The Blue-faced Parrotfinch is found in north-eastern Australia, Japan, Indonesia and other islands in Southeast Asia. They have also been introduced into France. They are a mostly green blue with a red tail. The male has more blue on the face.
Diet is mostly grass seeds, bamboo seeds, and small insects.
