The Red-whiskered Bulbul is native to Asia. Populations have been introduced to many tropical areas of the world such as Hawaii. In Hawaii they are considered an invasive species. Because of their diet of fruit, vegetables, flower buds they are considered a pest of agriculture and gardens. They also aggressively chase native birds away.
