The Cockatiel is endemic to Australia and is also known as the Quarrion and the Weiro. They are found in arid and semi-arid regions of Australia where they are nomadic, moving to where water and food are available. Various color mutations have been bred into the Cockatiel and they can be found in a variety of colors in zoos, cages, etc.
