Boyce Thompson Arboretum
Boyce Thompson Arboretum, AZ
The Boyce Thompson Arboretum is about 60 miles east of Phoenix on the southwest
edge of the Tonto National Forest off of US-60.
It is easy to get to and it is worth the visit.
Besides all the plants (especially cacti), I found quite a few birds.
For example, juvenile Pyrrhuloxia, Curve-billed thrasher, quite a few different hummingbirds,
Albert's Towhee, Black-necked Stilts, Long-billed Dowitchers, egrets, etc.
