The Luzon Bleeding-heart is endemic to the island of Luzon, Philippines and can be found in the neighboring small Polilo Islands and Catanduanes Island. The subspecies found in the Catanduanes Island is probably extinct.
They feed on seeds, fallen berries, insects, worms and other invertebrates on the forest floor.
