The Victoria Crowned-Pigeon is found in the lowland and swamp forests of northern New Guinea and surrounding islands. They are the largest pigeons in the world. They are easily recognizable by their crest of lacey feathers. They are blue-grey with a maroon breast. The eyes are red.
Diet is fallen fruit, berries and seeds. Nestlings are fed crop milk which both parents produce.
