The Spruce Grouse or Canada Grouse is found in Canada and Alaska. They do not migrate, but are permanent residents of coniferous forests. They especially like forests with black spruce or jack pine. They eat pine and spruce tree buds. They also eat pebbles which help their gizzard digest there food.
