The Wild Turkey is a North American bird that mainly eats grass, but will eat nuts, berries, seeds, roots and insects. In the last few years, there has been quite an increase in the Wild Turkey population in the S.F. Bay Area. They seem to be quite prevalent in the Berkeley/Oakland Hills.
