Temminck's Tragopan is found from the Himalayas to NE Burma and North Vietnam and Central China. The sexes are sexually dimorphic. The electric blue face on the male and its orange and black head are quite distinctive.
Their diet consists mostly of vegetative matter (flowers, grass, leaves, ferns, etc.) and berries, seeds. Some insects are also eaten.
