Aquatic Park
Aquatic Park, Berkeley, CA
Located in Berkeley near Emeryville, Aquatic Park has a large urban lake that you can walk around.
I frequently see Double-crested Cormorants drying their wings at the south end. In the Spring and Summer, I have seen quite a few Forster Terns there. Some of the other birds I have seen include a variety of grebes, Greater Yellowlegs, American Avocet, Belted Kingfisher, Black-necked Stilt, Common Goldeneye, Ruddy Duck, Short-billed Dowitcher, Willet, etc. I have also seen Hooded Mergansers and Red-breasted Mergansers during winter.
