West County Landfill Loop Trail
Located near the old Richmond Dump, this is a strange and interesting place. During the 2007 Richmond Shorebird census, I visited this place a few times. It is fairly desolate, but we did see quite a few shorebirds. There is a small parking lot and it is off of Parr Street.
As you can see from a some of the pictures, there is also interesting growths in the water. The Bay trail was planned to loop around the dump, but I am not sure it was ever finished.
