The Lesser Whistling Duck is also known as the Indian Whistling Duck or the Lesser Whistling Teal. They are found in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
They are nocturnal feeders and they mostly eat grasses, rice, seeds and shoots of water weeds. They will also eat some small molluscs.
